Just returned from more than two huge days in the Olympic Capital Lausanne. Over 400 sportslawyers from all around the world took part in the 7th TAS/CAS & SAV-Conference.
Even the wonderful hotel at the lake and great friends were no excuse to miss any of the speakers, starting with General Secretary Matthieu Reeb (“Latest developments and future challenges for CAS” on day one and Loise Reilly (“Recent CAS Jurisprudence on Doping Matters”) on the second day. Day two climaxed with Michele Bernasconi, who presented well picked football cases “solved” by CAS Panels, including one case I know very well indeed.
To find out about all the great topics (e.g. Challenge of Arbitrators, Gender Discrimination, ITA; TPO and FFP; FIFA TMS, FIFA RSTP’s latest developments by Omar Ongaro and “Doping Sanctions, retroative suspensions and disqualification of the results: Where are the Limits?” by Markus Manninnen) you might have missed, please consult the schedule.
Looking forfard to the next events in Magglingen and London this year and the 8th TAS/CAS & SAV-Confernce in Lausanne in 2020.
Yours Dominik Kocholl – sportslawyer.at
